Sometimes new aligners come with unexpected sharp spots that can cut your tongue and cause irritation in your mouth. By investing in a good nail file, you can file down the sharp spots for more comfortable wear.
Keep Your Case Handy
When using Invisalign, your aligner case is an essential and useful tool to keep on hand. Rather than wrapping your aligners in a napkin or risking losing them when removing them to eat or drink, you can simply put them away in your case until you need them again.
Ladies, Switch to Matte Lipstick
If you prefer to wear lipstick daily or would like to wear it for a special occasion, you still can! While you may think you have to stop using lipstick when wearing and removing your aligners, you can instead switch to matte lipstick. Make sure the lipstick has dried completely before moving your mouth to avoid leaving marks on your aligners.
Avoid Chewing Gum
Do not chew gum while you are wearing your aligners. If you choose to have a piece of gum, be sure to remove your aligners first and spit the gum out before putting them back in.

Save yourself some time and soak your Invisalign aligners in a cleaning solution while you are having breakfast or dinner. Then you can brush any excess debris off of them, and they are ready to wear!
Keep an Emergency Kit Handy
Keep an emergency bag in your locker, bookbag, purse, or car. This kit should have a travel-size toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, and mouthwash. This will help keep your mouth clean and fresh when wearing your aligners throughout the day.
Don’t Forget Your Outie
An outie is an excellent tool Invisalign offers that helps make it easier to remove your aligners after you get your attachments. It eliminates you having to use your fingers to remove the aligners, which can be helpful if you have long fingernails or have a hard time removing your aligners.
