Dear King Orthodontics patients and families

As promised we have been closely monitoring the developments surrounding COVID-19 (coronavirus) in the Pittsburgh area. At this time King Orthodontics has chosen to take the advice of the American Dental Association to temporarily close our offices to non-essential procedures. This is for the protection of our patients and their families as well as our team.

Beginning on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, King Orthodontics’ satellite locations in Pittsburgh and Bridgeville will be closed to patients through April 10, 2020.

Please be advised that this is an ever-changing situation and there is a possibility of extended closures.

Our Wexford location will be open for the following:

  • Patient emergencies
    • If you are experiencing an emergency please call our technician and doctor on call at 724.759.8599. They will try to help you get the patient comfortable before arranging to meet you at the office.
  • Patients wishing to pick up additional Invisalign aligners with Doctor approval.
    • If you wish to pick up additional aligners please reach out to our office to arrange for pick up.
  • Patients scheduled to pick up any previously ordered retainers.
    • You will be contacted by a member of the team to schedule a pick up when your retainer is ready.

We will be contacting patients to reschedule appointments for the following:

  • New patient consultations
  • Patient recall consultations
  • Patients scheduled receive their braces or appliance for the first time.
  • Patients scheduled
  • to have their braces or appliance removed.
    • We know that is will be difficult, and assure you that we will do our very best to reschedule at the earliest possible time
  • All braces and appliance checks
    • If you have questions if you should continue with turns for your expander, please call the office to speak with a doctor or technician.

As always, patient care and safety is a top priority for King Orthodontics. We understand that this may pose a small inconvenience to some of our patients. We are sure that you will agree it is a necessary step to take to keep everyone safe and healthy.

We appreciate your understanding as we navigate this unique and often confusing time. If you have any questions about this email or would like to speak to a member of our team for more information, please feel free to call our Wexford office directly at 724.935.5323.

Original Communication 3/12/20:

Dear King Orthodontics patients and families,

In light of the recent developments surrounding COVID-19 (coronavirus) in the Pittsburgh area, we wanted to take this opportunity to let you know what measures are being taken to protect not only our patients, but our team and families as well.

As a member of the healthcare community we already implement hospital grade sterilization and cleanliness standards. In addition to this, we are being especially vigilant and continuously wiping surfaces before, during, and after patient hours.

We would like to ask that our patients assist us in keeping our offices a safe environment for everyone by following these simple guidelines.

  1. Please call our office to reschedule your appointment if you or a member of your family have travelled to a high-risk area outside the US such as China, South Korea, or Italy, for a date following 14 days of being symptom free.
  2. Please call our office to reschedule your appointment if you have a fever or mild flu-like symptoms.
  3. Wash your hands at one of our brushing/washing stations or use hand sanitizer while in the treatment area.

As always, patient care and safety is a top priority for King Orthodontics. If you have any questions about this email or would like to speak to a member of our team for more information, please feel free to call our offices directly.
